Conservation Finance 101

What exactly is conservation finance? Why is it increasingly relevant to land and resource conservation and stewardship? Which sectors does it involve? How does it work?

These questions and others are answered in the Conservation Finance Network's two-part webinar on the basics of conservation finance. Reggie Hall with The Conservation Fund and Leigh Whelpton with the Conservation Finance Network discuss known sources of funding and financing along with innovative strategies for blending financing. This webinar was originally intended for an audience that works with the Department of Defense's Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Program, the Sentinel Landscapes Partnership, or relevant partners of these or similar programs. Concepts and case studies are presented with this audience in mind.
